West Mifflin Officers qualify annually with handgun, shotgun, and patrol rifle. Officers train to comply with state certification standards plus add additional training to better serve the citizens of West Mifflin as well as their fellow officers.
Officer Opferman and Officer Bissell are NRA certified handgun, shotgun, and patrol rifle instructors. Officer Opferman has been a firearms instructor for 10 years and Officer Bissell has been a firearms instructor for 2 years.
